Admissions Process:

Can I apply online?

Yes. The International Application for Admissions is available online.

Is there a deadline?

Yes, the priority deadlines are listed below. If you apply after the deadline, it is possible that your application will be considered for the following semester’s intake.

  • Fall (August) semester – June 1
  • Spring (January) semester – October 1

Where do I send my documents?

Clearly mark all envelopes and documents with your full name and send documents to:

How will I know if my documents are received?

An email will be sent to the email address given on your application verifying receipt of your documents and informing if any other documents are still necessary.

What are considered official academic credentials?

Official educational credentials issued and stamped/signed by the appropriate authority at your educational institution (Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Archives Office, etc.).  It is always preferable to have academic documents sent directly from  your school/university/examining board.

What is considered an official English translation?

An official English translation is a document translated from the original academic credentials. The translation must be made by either a translating company or the institution from which the academic credentials are issued.

What is considered an original bank statement or bank letter?

An original bank statement or bank letter is a bank statement or bank letter which is issued by the institution.  An original and current bank letter (no older than 90 days) must be on bank stationary which has the printed address of the institution.

Do I have to take the ACT or SAT?

No, a prospective international student does not have to take the ACT or the SAT.

After I apply, what is the application process?

For prospective international students, once the application and all necessary documents are received, your application materials will be evaluated for admissions. An acceptance packet will be sent to you.

When will I receive my I-20?

If you are currently living abroad, your I-20 may be mailed by regular airmail (allow 2-6 weeks for delivery) or by courier mail to you or a designated person.  Courier services is provided at your own expense and generally takes 3-5 days for delivery.

Finances

How much does it cost to study at Vincennes University?

The total and itemized approximate cost to study at Vincennes can be found on the Tuition and Costs page. Prospective international students wishing to study at Vincennes must provide evidence of financial sponsorship and a bank statement showing the minimum amount of $29,000 USD. Admissions will not be granted until the evidence of financial support shows funds exist at least for the first year of study.

Can I show financial support from more than one source?

Yes. However, for each source of financial support a Financial Sponsor Statement must be completed and the evidence of finances must be provided. The cumulative total must be equal to or greater than the estimated cost of attendance.

What financial assistance is available for international students?

Although international students are not eligible for U.S. federal financial aid, international students may investigate other financial resources. An international student could research 澳门足球博彩官方网址 scholarships when entering the second year of study.

May I work while I attend Vincennes University?

International students may work within the limitations set by a F-1 Visa. An international student may be employed by Vincennes University for a maximum of 20 hours per week while class is in session. However, please be advised student employment cannot provide enough funds to meet all expenses.


English Proficiency:

Do I have to take the TOEFL?

No. However, Highly recommended. Vincennes requires all prospective international applicants to demonstrate satisfactory proficiency in English. If you do not have language scores, you will take a skills assessment upon arrival to determine your English proficiency. Please see English as a Second Language (EAL)

How do I provide satisfactory evidence of English proficiency?

There are several means by which a prospective international student may provide satisfactory evidence of English proficiency:

  • Obtaining a satisfactory score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A satisfactory TOEFL score is 71 or higher on the internet-based version or 527 on the paper-based version.
  • Obtaining the satisfactory score of 6 or higher (IELTS)

Miscellaneous:

I had my academic credentials evaluated by an evaluation company. Should I send the evaluation?

If you wish to send an evaluation by an outside agency, you may, but it is not required.

What is the minimum number of courses I can take?
